How to Use CutThisX

Cut any video in three steps

1. Paste the link of a video or live stream from X (Twitter), YouTube, Facebook, TikTok or Instagram, then press Fetch & Trim.
2. Pick the part you want. Play the video, then use Set Start Here and Set End Here, or drag the timeline handles. Play Selection lets you check the clip first.
3. Choose MP4 or MP3 and press Download. Only the selected part is fetched, so even a 30-second highlight from a 3-hour stream is ready in seconds.

Shortcut for X posts

Add cutthisx.com/ in front of any X post address, for example cutthisx.com/user/status/123, and the video opens directly in the cutter.

Live streams

For a live broadcast, the timeline shows what can still be rewound. Last 30s / 1m / 5m clip what already aired; Next 30s / 1m / 5m record ahead and the download finishes once that moment has streamed.

Tips

• MP3 exports are 320 kbps, perfect for podcasts, speeches and music.
• Clips start at the nearest keyframe, usually within a second of your mark.
• Your clip stays available for 15 minutes, then it is deleted from our servers.
